Appe Leppänen (b. 1982) works in the field of painting, experimenting and searching for different base materials and hanging solutions. Through her artistic work she deals with the connection and enchantment with nature and the renewal of experiences gained by moving in nature. Leppää is interested in the interplay between physical place and mental space, and her works depict this rather than the realistic world. Leppänen lives and works in Turku and has graduated as a visual artist from the Turku Academy of Fine Arts in 2020.
