About the Exhibition
During the 2000s, the artist created several nativity scenes as tableaus that comment on current television news. The inspiration for this concept originated from the PESSEBRES tradition in Catalonia, where she frequently visited her son during the Christmas season and encountered numerous displays of skillfully crafted nativity scenes. The birth of Jesus itself occurred during a traumatic flight, which motivated the artist to construct her interpretations of TV news within old television sets, using dolls and toys to reflect on current events—often traumatic experiences that have affected her, sometimes since childhood.
