Mehiläispesä ry promotes arts and culture from an experimental and open-minded perspective and showcases high quality contemporary art. An important part of its activities is to promote collaboration and mutual support between artists. One of its tasks is to promote and support the work of young and early career artists. The association’s activities are focused on maintaining the exhibition space at Galleria Huuto. The association also organises exhibitions and other artistic projects locally and internationally, sometimes in collaboration with other artists’ spaces.
