The Visual Art House is a house for artists, bringing together all ends of the visual arts on one site. It is seen and heard by all, opening eyes to the new, and responding with sound, emotion and gesture. The Visual Art House touches and challenges you to think.
Its mission is to widen the audiences for the visual arts, to enhance the vitality of artists and the sector, and to strengthen the social relevance of the visual arts. The House is made up of leading artist-led organisations, under whose leadership the Visual Art House is becoming the newest, most vibrant centre for contemporary art.

The Visual Art House brings together the activities of 16 galleries under one roof
The member organisations involved maintain 16 permanent exhibition spaces in Helsinki and organise more than 350 exhibitions and other visual arts events annually. The events organised by the communities to present and communicate art reach hundreds of thousands of art lovers every year.
Visual Art House is a collaboration of 19 visual arts organisations
The member organisations work extensively to promote and develop the visual arts and artists. Their activities relate in particular to exhibitions, distribution, public relations, membership, advocacy and communication. Find out more about the member organisations and their activities.
