The skull symbolizes death in art. For me, bleached, colorless coral signifies marine species’ extinction due to environmental damage. In Gallery Katariina’s Bleaching exhibition, I use 3D-printed porcelain’s translucence to evoke the lifeless seabed. These structures can help restore reefs and prevent extinction, inspired by organic growth algorithms. Using sustainable, recyclable clay combines ancient materials with innovative design for environmental awareness.
